Kelly and Zabette have owned and operated the Vashon Recess Lab Climbing Wall since 2016. Having two active children can be trying, especially during the winter as many parents can attest to! So they knew that a climbing wall would bring some sanity to their house and hopefully others as well.
They love that climbers of all ages come and get their yayas out on the wall!

Jessie was born and raised in California but discovered her infinite love for the Pacific Northwest in 2011.
 

She recently graduated from college with a degree in Early Childhood Education and received three teaching certificates. Jessie has over 11 years of experience working with children of all ages and in many different types of settings including Camp Orkila (on the rope courses, climbing wall and zip line!) and Touchstone Climbing (running their after school programs and summer camps for indoor climbing).

 

Due to all her experiences, she understands teaching climbing techniques and has patience and passion for working with kids at a variety of ability levels and learning styles.
