Climbing classes for Beginner Climbers

and Intermediate Climbers

Ages 4 to 10

Mondays November 3, 10, 17, 24, and December 1

This 5 week class will focus on climbing skills with games and good times!

​

Beginner class:

For climbers who are learning bouldering skills but also want to play a few games on the floor, this is the perfect class for them. 

Mondays 4:00 to 4:45

Cost $65 - $80, sliding scale

Bring snacks and a water bottle

Intermediate class:

For climbers who have some bouldering skills and are looking to improve! There are plenty of good times in this class but the focus is definitely the wall.

Mondays 5:00 to 6:00

Cost $75 - $90, sliding scale

We are very pleased to have Alison Bagby teaching this fall at the Recess Lab! 

Here’s her amazing bio:

Alison Bagby started climbing in 2009 in Berkeley, CA before spending years exploring the boulders of Yosemite and Bishop, where she climbed many classics including High Plains Drifter (v7). When she wasn’t running a busy Bay Area restaurant (serving some notable climbers including Alex Honnold!), she was raising two daughters—both of whom she taught to climb. Now a Vashon resident, graduate student and new youth soccer coach, Alison is eager to share her patience, creativity, and love for climbing with the community. She believes most children are natural climbers, and her goal is to help them hone those instincts into new skills, discover the joy of working through challenges, and most importantly, have fun with a healthy, lifelong activity that can extend into the beautiful outdoors.​
